Somatic Therapy

A gentle, body-centered approach that helps you understand and release what your nervous system has been holding.

What This Approach Is

Somatic therapy works with the connection between your mind, emotions, and physical body. Instead of focusing only on thoughts or insight, it helps you tune into sensations, tension patterns, and the subtle signals your body communicates.

At its core, somatic work helps you notice where past experiences are still living in the body — tightness, bracing, shutdown, overwhelm — and slowly create more capacity, safety, and presence within yourself. You don’t have to “perform” anything or push past your edges; the work happens at the pace of your nervous system.

People choose somatic therapy because it brings relief from patterns talk therapy can’t always reach. It helps you experience change from the inside out.

What Sessions Focused on This Approach Look Like

My somatic work is gentle, present, and deeply attuned. We slow down enough to notice what’s happening in your body — not to analyze it, but to understand it. You might tune into your breath, where your energy rises or collapses, or the subtle ways your body protects you.

Everything is guided by your comfort and capacity. I weave somatic cues into conversation, not as a separate practice but as a supportive layer of awareness. You can expect warmth, directness, and a grounded pace that honors your system. This work blends easily with IFS, attachment theory, mindfulness, and existential insight.

The sessions are about reconnection — coming home to your body in a way that feels safe, doable, and compassionate.
